Tanjil River Fishing: 25th May 2008

Another day trip into this lovely area of cool temperate rain forest. This time we came in from the north, and explored further arounnd the West Tanjil River, finding an old hut hidden away from the track.
I decided to head down West Tanjil Rd instead of the Staircase. Well, the Staircase is a lot more trafficable; at least on this day. The track down was steeper in parts, and fallen trees blocked the road at two locations forcing some very interesting and challenging bypasses through the bush.
The ford across the river was fun as always, and we explored the western bank of the river, stopping for lunch at some cascades.
